We make one of these, so read this the way you would read any comparison written by a competitor. Everything below about the other apps is taken from their own published pages and checked on 21 September 2026 — including the parts where they are better than us.

- Three practice modes in one product — AI voice and video, live peer rooms with other learners, and 1:1 sessions with human tutors. We have none of the last two.
- India-first by a distance. Rupee-only pricing marked “All prices are in INR, GST included”, and free placement content — 75 JAM topics with PREP structures, 60 extempore topics, 50 GD topics.
- A Chrome extension that works on any web page or subtitled YouTube video, with word-by-word scoring.
- Twenty free browser games with no login at all.
- A placement-cell console for colleges, with batch rollups and CSV export.
Worth knowing
- AI practice time is metered on every tier, in their own words: “~4 min/day” free, “30 min/day” on Pro, “60 min/day” on Pro+, and “Practice time resets daily at midnight”.
- Session reports are tiered — free gets “Basic session reports”; history needs Pro+.
- Chrome only for the extension, and no Apple App Store link is published on their site.
- Their own FAQ says there is no offline mode.
Yoodli

- Coaching during a real call, not only rehearsal — their interview page describes live nudges to slow down or hit your talking points. Nothing here does that.
- Multi-persona roleplay — up to three AI personas in one session who interact with each other.
- Serious enterprise plumbing: SSO, SCIM, LMS integration via SCORM and LTI, Salesforce, Slack, Teams.
- Hindi is a supported language for roleplay and feedback.
- Well funded and shipping weekly — a $40M Series B announced 2 December 2025.
Worth knowing
- The free Starter tier is 5 lifetime sessions, not a recurring allowance.
- Their pricing page says, verbatim: “Yoodli does not offer refunds on cancellation.”
- Their pricing page as we fetched it shows US dollars only, with no currency selector.
- Their three documented practice modes are roleplay, pitch/presentation and interview — impromptu speaking is not one of them.
Orai

Worth knowing
- No permanently free plan is published on their pricing page — it lists Pro, Journey and Enterprise, and the trial is 7 days.
- Their scorecard measures four things: clarity, filler words, pace and energy. That is delivery, not whether you answered the question.
- No student or education discount appears on the pricing page.
Speeko

- Their own site publishes in US dollars only; Apple's Indian store sells the same app in rupees.
- Their AI page names no model, vendor or accuracy figure for the nine metrics it lists.
- Built around presentations, meetings and interviews rather than impromptu rounds.

Pick us if
- The thing you are preparing for is a JAM round, an extempore, or a campus interview. That is the whole product here, not one mode inside a broader English app.
- You want a free tier that is not metered by the minute: three quick reads a day and two full analyses a week, and a quick read is the whole read — transcript, fillers, pace, topic verdict, how the answer ended, and a delivery score.
- You want to be told what you actually said — your own answer rewritten, with quoted evidence on whether you answered the question.
- You are paying in rupees and would rather buy a credit than a subscription. Credits never expire and nothing auto-renews.
- You have been cut off by a timer and marked down for it. We measure how the answer ended and never count a missing conclusion against you when the clock took it.
Do not pick us if
- You want to talk to a human — a tutor or another learner. We have no peer rooms and no tutors. TalkDrill has both.
- You want coaching during a live call or meeting. Yoodli does that; we do not.
- You want deep pronunciation and accent work. Speeko measures more delivery dimensions than we do, and dedicated pronunciation apps go further than either of us.
- You need an offline mode, a desktop app, or a browser extension. We are a website.
- You are buying for an enterprise and need SSO, LMS integration and an SLA. Yoodli is built for that.

Fair questions.
You should not trust it on our word. Every claim about another app is sourced to that app's own pages and dated 21 September 2026, and each one links to the page it came from so you can check it in a few seconds. We have also listed, in plain words above, five things each competitor does better than us — including two we have no answer to at all.
Quite a lot, deliberately. An internal audit rejected any claim it could not verify, including a quotation that turned out to be fabricated, a claim that one app lacked a mobile app when it ships three, and several "app X cannot do Y" lines sourced to reviews from 2019 to 2022. None of those are on this page. We also do not claim any competitor lacks rupee pricing, because our checks were routed through the US and a US-routed check cannot prove what an Indian visitor is shown.
Ours is: three quick reads a day and two full analyses a week, no card. Read the free tiers carefully elsewhere — they differ enormously in kind. Yoodli's Starter is 5 sessions for the lifetime of the account. TalkDrill's free plan is metered at about four minutes of AI practice a day. Speeko's free version allows unlimited sessions with basic feedback. Orai publishes no permanently free plan, only a 7-day trial.
