  • Your biggest strength and weakness.
  • Where do you see yourself in five years?

Campus & tech

  • Explain a concept to a non-technical person.
  • How do you handle a tight deadline?
  • Why this company / role?
  • A time you worked in a team.
✎ model answer · STAR

"Tell me about a time you failed."

Situation. In my third semester, I led a team building a college event app.

Task. We promised registration would open in two weeks.

Action. I over-scoped it, missed the date, then cut features to the one that mattered — sign-ups — and shipped.

Result. We were a week late, but 400 students registered, and I learned to ship the smallest useful thing first.

✎ how to answer
  • STAR keeps you on track: Situation, Task, Action, Result.
  • End on the lesson — it turns a failure into growth.
  • Keep it under 90 seconds; we'll flag it if you run long.
  • Pause instead of "um" — the drill trains exactly this.
