Credits never expire. A pass is not a subscription: you pay once, it runs for its term, and then it simply stops — there is no auto-debit and no card kept on file, so you are never charged again unless you choose to be. If you hold credits and a pass together, the pass is used first and your credits stay untouched for later.
You're never charged — a failed, too-short, or unusable analysis auto-refunds the credit (or free daily slot).
