We built a quiet place to practise out loud.

Millions of us understand English but freeze the moment we have to speak it. Impromptu is a notebook to fix that — one small round at a time.

Why we started

The best speakers aren't fearless — they've just done the reps. But most of us never get to rehearse: interviews, presentations and meetings are one-shot, high-stakes moments with no practice round.

So we built the practice round. A random topic, sixty seconds, and honest feedback — then a chance to go again and prove you got better. No audience, no leaderboard, no judgement about your accent. Just you and the page.

What we believe

  • Show the work, not a score. A number out of 100 teaches nothing; a correction you can see does.
  • Your accent isn't an error. We coach whether you're understood — never how "native" you sound.
  • Improvement beats performance. The retry loop is the whole product.
  • Private by default. Your voice is yours; we delete audio unless you keep it.
✎ built for India

Priced in rupees. Tuned for Indian English. Made for placements, interviews and presentations — from metros to tier-2 and tier-3 towns, where a little confidence in English changes what's possible.

"Read a line, take a round, read the proof. Then do it again tomorrow."
✦ who's behind it

A small team, in India.

Impromptu Speaking is built by an independent, India-based team of engineers and English coaches. We're in early access — shipping improvements every week and building in the open.
